“The research went really well thanks and a big thank you to Charlotte and Stepladder for putting me in touch with Kai and his cousin Navada. I caught up with Charlotte after the research to say that they were really great – sparky, articulate, intelligent and they gave some fantastic feedback on all the creative ideas. We used a lot of clips of their interviews in the pitch which went down really well.
They also seemed really keen to get involved in any further creative development workshops that we ever need to run with their target audience, so I have got their email addresses and will definitely get in touch in the future if opportunities crop up, which I’m sure they will!”
Lucy Morris, TMW

Its very exciting being surrounded with people that share your interest and are eager to help myself and others gain knowledge and experience. I worked with Stepladder to help run a fundraiser night for the charity Childs I Foundation. I learnt alot from observing the skills needed to organise a fundraising event and enjoyed the evening thoroughly. I would like to say a big thankyou to Charlotte for giving me the amazing opportunity and Emma for giving such useful advice!” Lucy Denny, 18, Essex

“I wanted to thank you and all the stepladder team for helping me finding a work experience at the Field Day Festival 2012 within the Loudsound team. I think that the most important thing for me is that this week really confirmed my will to dedicate myself to the festival and live industry, I know I was always very interested in it, but being present on site for the whole week made it very clear to me that this was the environment that wish to evolve and bring my skills and energy. I really had a good time and learnt a lot, and they assured me that they will have more opportunities for the summer season.”Pierre Odehnal - 22, London
“My first week at Stepladder was very inspiring and informative. I’ve had to take a lot on board, including the way I present myself. I’ve got involved with meetings, made and answered phone calls, attended conferences, learnt about organising events, started organising events and plenty more. Living life in a proper working environment in the real working world has been a great opportunity that has only just started for me.” Bukola Bakinson – 18

“I had very little career advice at school and at University and it can be very daunting approaching companies in order to gain more work experience. Therefore stepladder was a very approachable company where their key aim is to help young people have more access to working environments and shadows you throughout your time with them, making sure you get the most out of your working placement.” Emma Colquhoun 23, London

“I got involved with Stepladder because I like the things they are doing with youth…it’s all about empowering the youth and helping them gain knowledge and a career in the creative industries.
